Christmas Writing 28: Do You Hear What I Hear?

Do You Hear What I Hear?

December 7 2024

The hoot of the owl on your walk

The chitter of the squirrel from afar

The crunch of footsteps while you talk

The oohs and ahs of a falling star

The snap of the log in the fire

The gurgle of water in the sink

The movement of your desire

The fizzing bubbles of your drink

The excitement when opening gifts

The squeals of utter joy

The sounds of love fill a room

The words of love when we rejoice

The crispness of falling snow

The jingle so near is just enough

The songs we sing when we believe

The vibrations we hear when we love

Christmas is that special day

When worries often fade

The love you feel is never too much

May our memories never fade
