Roseneath Cactus Farm!

Here's an example of how a post would look.... (except with better writing by you!)

by Adrian Truss

New to the area, local resident Adrian Truss has decided to use part of his land to start a cactus farm!

“I don’t know much about farming, so I thought Cacti would be a pretty good place to start as they don’t need any watering and pretty much take care of themselves.”

When asked about the effects of winter climate on the cacti, Mr. Truss grew silent and mumbled something about maybe not having given it enough thought.

“A guy came by the other day and sold me a great cacti harvester for $11,000. At least I think its a cacti harvester. It looks kind of small and it has skis on the front. Anyway, I’m hoping that between the machine and my wife and I, we can harvest at least 400 cacti by the end of December.”

We pointed out that it takes quite a while to grow a large cactus but that didn’t seem to faze Mr. Truss who said that he hoped to bridge the gap with some “super-fertilizer” that was sold to him by the same man who sold him the harvester.

We investigated this man and found out that he was none other than the notorious Mr. Haney, famous for his role as a wandering swindler on the old-time hit television show “Green Acres”.

Undeterred by this information, Mr. Truss vows to continue his endeavour and welcomes everyone to come to the farm on New Year’s Day to enjoy some homemade Cactus Pie.

All we can say is ‘good luck to you, Mr. Truss’. Maybe Best Cactus will be a new category at the county fair next year!

A new cactus farm in Roseneath!

  2. Adrian it's inspiring to know there's a soon-to-be prosperous new business in the community. I respect your unique vision. Do you think your Mr Haney might consider helping us with our Organic Tick Farm?

    2. Yes it's evolved into a farm. At first the ticks just showed up with their friends and annoyed us. But we decided we could make them work for us! We found a method to breed and weaponize them as living perimeter fences.
No Trespassing signs warn of roving, aggressive tick colonies, trained to infest intruders. We invented a proprietary substance that, using pheromones, prevents them from bothering us, our invited guests, pets and livestock.
We keep them hungry so they are highly motivated to defend us
Our next goal is to appear on "Dragons Den" to secure funding for expansion.
Soon we will supply affordable security systems to the world!
